From the teen striving to land a part in her high school play, to government and business executives in Singapore and the US, to her own mother who was once afraid of speaking up, Pree is passionate about helping people from all walks of life find the confidence to express themselves. It’s that passion that continues to drive her 11+ year career in media and communications, and that fuels her work as a Coach with Own The Room.
While earning her Bachelors in Communication Studies from Singapore University of Social Sciences, Pree hit the radio airwaves in Singapore, working as a show host for Singapore Press Holdings’ popular music station. She hosted multiple programs, including Singapore’s only daily chart show, and produced a traveling radio broadcast with Tourism Australia.
Pree later transitioned into a full-time career as a voice actress, public speaker, coach, and emcee. She’s recorded voice overs for companies like PaperOne, Swisse, and Singtel, and emceed a range of corporate events for global organizations like Nissan, Siemens, and Red Hat. She even hosted the opening ceremony for the Singapore President’s Challenge 2015, where then President Tony Tan was the Guest of Honor. As a certified Communications Coach, she’s helped leaders at all levels find their voice, from high school and university students, to executives at PwC Singapore, General Electric, and Forrester Research.
In 2008, Pree’s talents made it to the big screen thanks to a quick appearance in a movie shown at Cannes Film Festival. We like to think her two-minute scene right before the credits is why the film received a standing ovation at the festival. When she’s not wowing audiences and changing lives, Pree loves to travel, experience new challenges (skydiving in Melbourne, anyone?!), and read novels by her favorite author, Paulo Coelho.
