KWONG YUE YANG
Even before joining Own The Room, Kwong was no stranger to public speaking. An active Toastmasters participant, Kwong has moved up to the World Championships twice, each time taking 2nd place globally (although he is determined to eventually win first place). He has spoken at events in China, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, UAE, Australia and the USA.
A native of Canberra, Australia, Kwong started his career as a corporate graduate with Qantas, working with the Change Management and Business Development teams. He then moved to Guangzhou, China, where he worked in digital advertising, and later became a founding member of Aleadpay, an international digital firm that has worked with Zynga, Tokopedia, and Groupon.
Kwong is an Ultimate Frisbee enthusiast who represented Australia at the Asia-Oceanic Ultimate Championships in 2007 and 2011. In addition to English, he is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
"Kwong is a fantastic facilitator for Own the Room and I strongly recommend his course. He engaged the whole room and made us become much better presenters by the end of the day.
That day I was quite jet-lagged since I had just arrived to Singapore. However, Kwong kept me engaged the whole day, without any distractions. Not at any point was I keen in going for a break or stopping - the day flew by! I am a promoter."

"My team had a fantastic experience working with Kwong to improve our communications capability. Kwong went above and beyond before the session to understand the needs of my team, their roles and current capability in order to tailor a program to meet their needs, including individual executive coaching.
This resulted in the team coming away feeling like they had learnt tangible approaches that would immediately change the way they communicate, as well as being inspired and engaged by the learning they had been through.
Kwong himself was personable, knowledgeable and clearly talented in his ability to effectively demonstrate examples of the techniques he was taking us through.
I'd highly recommend any group looking to improve their communication skills and improve collaboration to engage Kwong."
