Kelsey learned the benefits of being a powerful speaker firsthand as a member of the University of Michigan’s student government. Her confidence grew as she assumed progressively responsible positions within government, eventually leading committee meetings and serving on the executive board as External Relations Officer. Taking on that role opened new opportunities to develop her relationship management skills, which have been key to growing her career.
After graduating from the University of Michigan with highest distinction, Phi Beta Kappa, Kelsey headed from the Midwest to the West Coast to continue her education in UC Berkeley's Master of Public Policy program. While working with fundraising for the University of Michigan Health System, she learned the power of connecting with people individually. She brings her relationship management and written communication skills to her role as Account Assistant at Own the Room.
When she’s not in class or working, you can find Kelsey strumming her classical guitar and hanging out with her two cats, Riley and Rory (yes, there is a Gilmore Girls connection).
